A Checklist is a document that must be submitted by an operator and reviewed by an administrator. The Administrator may approve or reject the checklist. Once approved the checklist cannot be changed.
Operators create new Checklists and fill out the required documentation. Initially a Checklist is in the Pending state which means the operator can continue to make changes. When the operator is ready they Submit the checklist and are then prevented from any further changes.
Should the approver Reject the checklist, it will be Returned to the operator (and the operator notified) and they are again permitted to make changes and re-submit.
When saving changes to the Checklist the user can check a Submit for Approval on Save checkbox to proceed directly to the submission page.
When Submitting for Approval the operator is asked to provide a note. The default can be used.
To approve or reject a checklist, the user must have the "Checklist Approval" role.
Users can subscribe to a Checklist Approval Required alert which means when a qualifying checklist is submitted by an operator, the subscribers will be notified. That notification can be by visual alert or by email. This is configured in the user's Subscriptions page.
When a subscription is in place, approval requests are recorded as a notification.
An email notification includes the checklist summary and previous comments with timestamps.
An operator begins by creating a checklist and completing the documents. When the documentation is ready the operator can Submit it for approval by an authorized approver. The approvers will be notified and they can review and Approve or Reject the checklist.
When Approving or Rejecting a checklist, the user is asked to provide a note which will be recorded as a timed comment.
When a checklist is Approved or Rejected, the submitter will be notified by email.
